Diamonds are a girl’s best friend and I have always be fascinated with jewelry!

What girl isn’t, right? I can remember one of my favorite things was twisting my

Mother’s hand to see the sparkle and fire in her diamond ring! I couldn’t wait to “grow

up to wear all the diamonds I want!” Little did I know then that I would become a jewelry designer and while I still love diamonds my passion has grown into design, metalsmithing and fabrication of jewelry and accessories.

Thanks to my parents help I earned a terrific education from Macon State College and Georgia State University. Beverly Hutto, who was my art instructor at Macon

State saw my fascination with jewelry and encouraged me to go to Ga State to study under Richard Mafong. I knew I had found my calling after the first class. Under Mafong, I learned many traditional metalsmithing techniques;  reposse’, chasing,

kum boo & mokume gane to name a few that I use in my current lines of work.

After graduation I took time away from creative work and learned the business side

of art as an art consultant to the trade but the jewelry kept calling me. In 2004 I put my talent to the test and entered the Vertebrae necklace in the 2005 Saul Bell Award. I told myself if it placed then I would build my own studio and business. The design received 2nd place in the silver category and it felt like the universe had spoken and so I began building my studio.

After several years of designing and creating jewelry I enjoy the thrill of each new design like it was the first. When I am in the studio working is when I feel the most honest. It’s just me.

I live in the heart of Atlanta Ga with my four legged love Hasu. I love to travel; snowboard, visit family and friends across the country and gain new insights of our world traveling abroad. My life is so enriched anytime we travel, it’s just such an amazing world with amazing people out there!

My family is very important and I appreciate having such a supportive system of parents, brother, sister, nieces & nephews...

muh, muh lots of love!!!

I hope you enjoy viewing and hopefully wearing my work as much as I enjoyed making it!

Au Revoir!
